The placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Please read these terms carefully and prior to any purchase.
These Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age & accept delivery within the UK.
Supply of Products
Products are sold under the understanding that
Personal and Business Customers
Contracts for the supply of goods or services to retail or domestic customers are governed by The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) and supplied in compliance with, The Consumer Protection (distance selling) regulations 2000 as amended S1689 2005. Any customers contacting in the course of their business are excluded from consumer protection legislation and are contacting the company on a business to business basis.
Description of Products
Metal Depot endeavor to display all descriptive and/or image content in an accurate and up to date manner. However the content of this website is for your general information and use only. We cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies. It is subject to change without notice. We cannot guarantee that the appearance and/or the colours of products displayed on this site exactly replicate the appearance and/or colours of the actual products themselves. Such differences in product images and actual products are to be taken as expected outcomes of photographic and monitor distortion.
Payment and Price
All product prices are exclusive of VAT and delivery charges. The total order for the products will be stipulated before an order is placed. Placing an order is an acceptance of the total price. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price or take into account any increase in our supplier’s price, the imposition of any taxes or duties or if due to an error the price stated for the goods is incorrect whether an order has been confirmed or not. In such an event, we are entitled to refuse or cancel any order. If your order has been confirmed & payment taken we will immediately refund the payment.
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and Switch. On your order you must provide your billing address as registered with your credit card bank. Failure to do so may result in your payment being declined or significant delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation is confirmed. We accept payment by PayPal, once your payment is confirmed your order will be processed. We also accept payment by Cheque and Postal Order, however we will not dispatch goods until payment is cleared.
Availability/Stock of Goods
All products and services are subject to availability. We endeavour to keep a high majority of our products in stock. In the event that your ordered product is not in stock, this may result in delay of processing your goods, we will notify you of such an occurrence & advise you of the length of the delay, at which point you may opt to cancel your order. If, for any reason, we cannot supply your goods, you will not be charged and we will refund any money already paid. We cannot be responsible for compensating you for any loss or inconvenience caused.
Delivery of stock items within the UK will be dispatched via 24 hour courier. Normally delivery will be between 2 – 4 working days. However orders will be processed daily and we endeavour to dispatch the same day. We cannot be held responsible for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivery of goods. If, for any reason, your goods are temporarily out of stock we will notify you and advise you on delivery at which point you may cancel your order.
Responsibility of Goods Delivered
Once your goods have been delivered to your door, you will be responsible for them. We can only deliver items to the address specified as the delivery address on the order. All deliveries must be signed for and will not be left. Please inspect the condition and quantity of your package/goods before signing for them. Any damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods must be noted on the delivery consignment note at the time of delivery. Claims for missing or damaged products will be rejected if they have been signed for and deemed to have been ‘received in good condition’.
Notification of Claims
If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the delivery consignment note and it is your responsibility to inform us within 7 days from delivery.
It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of parcels as stated on the carriers delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us within 7 days from delivery
If your order is incorrect it is your responsibility to notify us within 7 days of delivery.
Fault with Goods:
Products that are deemed to be faulty in respect to the relevant product information stated on our website can be returned for replacement or refund.
We will not be liable for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 7 days of the expected delivery date. If goods are returned to us in the same condition as originally dispatched, we will offer you the choice of having these returned to you, of which you will be charged the delivery rate, or refunded the cost of the goods less the original delivery charge.
In the event that goods are returned to us because they were not signed for, we will not be liable for any cost or loss sustained by you. We will contact you to arrange redelivery to you of which you will be charged the additional delivery charge.
